It _seems_ as if when the USB drive is attached, that the machine recognizes only that drive, thinks it bootable and attempts to boot it, not seeing the real bootable devices at all. If the USB drive *is* connected the ubuntu partition and bootable thumb drive (if attached) will *not* be recognized by Boot Manager and rEFInd. If I disconnect the USB drive the ubuntu partition and bootable thumb drive (if attached) will be recognized by both Boot Manager and rEFInd. ![]()
